Direct procurement from the producer

For many years, Hedwigsburger Okermühle has been purchasing wheat exclusively from regional producers. Since 2004 we have organised contract farming with our producers which ensures complete traceability of the raw material origin from field to mill. A specification sheet hereby standardises measures for food safety and sustainability for our contractual partners, beginning as early as the selection of the seed.

This places us far above the statutorily prescribed requirements and sets us apart from our competitors.
